Umbrella Weather

Pros and Cons.
Looking like an idiot when the wind turns it inside out, versus just walking quickly and getting soaked.
Having your picture taken by a tourist on the Champs-Elysee.

Because I never wanna make you feel
That you're social
Never ignorant soul
Believe in what you wanna do
And do you think that is a major flaw
When they rise up in the falling rain
And if you stay around with your knuckles ground down
The trial's over, weapon's found

Keep my address to myself because it's secret
'Cause it's secret -cret -cret -cret -cret -cret -cret -cret -cret -cret -cret -cret -cret -cret

Eccentricities.

I don't know what's going on, but I am very content in my life right now. Perhaps it's the people, the lovely people that currently surround me, both at home and at school. The perfect comfort that I call my old friends and the warming oddities that I call my new friends. And that's just it, isn't it? It's when someone reveals their strangeness, when it becomes clear that they aren't the picture of normal or even much more normal than you, that's when your heart finally opens to them. Because maybe you have nothing in common, but that weirdness is a little human connection. My best friends are such because we have a common weirdness, those little quirks that just fit perfectly together and allow me to be at my most comfortable with them. My new friends are growing closer because we have passed through the impressions period and allowed some eccentricities through, widening the hole for even more to follow and make connections from. It's a beautiful thing. When I love people, I love people for their eccentricities. And when I hate them, it's usually one of those quirks that softens my heart again.

Of course, perhaps this is early morning nonsense. I'm high on life, and I'm going to sleep.

Wait til you're alone and then dance away. It'll help.
